January project – 29/01 {family photographer}

Day 29 of a personal photography challenge to take at least one photo every day throughout January of my kids and whatever else catches my eye.

My post today features the boys’ grandpa (my father-in-law) and his wonderful handy-work with a tree along our drive that needed to be taken down. We’re about to get a new fence put in and the tree had kind of morphed with the fence. Definitely a job for Grandpa and his chainsaw! Doesn’t he have a wonderful face? :-)

January project – 28/01 {children’s photographer}

Day 28 of a personal photography challenge to take at least one photo every day throughout January of my kids and whatever else catches my eye.

The wonderful thing about photographing children is that they are always full of energy, so it’s easy to make them ‘perform’ for the camera – just give them something active to do and be ready to capture that energy! These photos are a case in point. Tim really should have been in bed at this time, but I hadn’t taken my photo-a-day yet. It was an absolutely gorgeous evening, and I knew that Tim could definitely not say no to a sunset scoot in the park instead of getting ready for bed, so off we went.

Off he goes! Oops, had to return for the helmet though. ;)

January project – 27/01 {child photographer}

Day 27 of a personal photography challenge to take at least one photo every day throughout January of my kids and whatever else catches my eye.

In my mind, this post is all about Alex, even though I’ve included some of Timmy as well. I just love some of these ones of my big boy. Aren’t his eyes mesmerising! Or is that just mummy-goggles, haha. These were taken at my favourite tunnel, along the bike track near us. We rode bikes along the path to a playground where we stopped for a picnic lunch. In exchange for jelly snakes I was granted a few minutes in the tunnel for photos. They are some of my new favourites, I think. I’m a sucker for close-ups.
