January project – 23/01 {photographer melbourne}

Day 23 of a personal photography challenge to take at least one photo every day throughout January of my kids and whatever else catches my eye.

Kids really love creating stuff, making things from scratch with their own hands. My kids take great satisfaction from making things that they can then use, or play with, or eat. Especially stuff they can eat, LOL! Today was cupcake day, and they pretty much made them all on their own. (Not difficult, seeing as it was a packet mix. :-) The chocolate icing in particular was a big hit. They really don’t care how messy they get!

January project – 22/01 {melbourne photography}

Day 22 of a personal photography challenge to take at least one photo every day throughout January of my kids and whatever else catches my eye.

Today I’m actually going to show only ONE photo for my photo-a-day project, instead of the three dozen I usually show. But we were working all day today, taking photos at a beautiful wedding, so not much chance for personal photos. Here is my hubby Lars ‘working’ on the golf course this evening (yes, we have a tough job!) – just a quick grab in between wedding shots. First time he’d driven a golf buggy actually. Said it felt like he was mowing a lawn, haha!

January project – 21/01 {family photos melbourne}

Day 21 of a personal photography challenge to take at least one photo every day throughout January of my kids and whatever else catches my eye.

A long one today, heaps of photos! There was just so much to photograph at Grandma’s house. The boys spend lots of time there, at least one full day a week, plus a weekend day if Lars and I are shooting a wedding. They really are the luckiest boys in the world to have such a wonderful grandma, who absolutely adores them and proves this by indulging their Lego addiction on a regular basis (in fact, this is possibly why they have a Lego addiction! lol). The boys adore her in return. She plays with them, encourages their creativity and expression not only with Lego but all manner of crafty activities – even very messy ones – feeds them good, wholesome food, video-tapes nice TV shows for them to watch, gives them pocket money and encourages them to save it, teaches them to be kind and patient with animals (such as her fluffy little dogs!)…she does so much for them, and with them. They are surrounded by love and security when they visit at Grandma’s house. There’s simply no better place for them to be apart from their own home…we are so grateful to have her (plus she lives close by, too!).

Grandma’s kitchen. You can see how much she loves photographs.

More photographs…the last one has a photo of Lars when he was just little,  and there’s me with Tim when he was a tiny newborn, a few days old.
