January project – 26/01 {melbourne portrait photographer}

Day 26 of a personal photography challenge to take at least one photo every day throughout January of my kids and whatever else catches my eye.

Happy Australia Day! I wanted to incorporate the Aussie flag into my photo today, so I was very pleased to see it on a bathing box at Brighton Beach – perfect!

January project – 25/01 (children’s portraits Melbourne}

Day 25 of a personal photography challenge to take at least one photo every day throughout January of my kids and whatever else catches my eye.

Here’s Tim and his dad “playing the pinnies”, as they say colloquially. We have this sweet miniature pinball machine that I bought for $5 at a second-hand market a few years ago. Most of the time it lives hidden away up in a cupboard (as it is very noisy, lol!), but occasionally it comes out and the boys give it a workout.

January project – 24/01 {melbourne photographer}

Day 24 of a personal photography challenge to take at least one photo every day throughout January of my kids and whatever else catches my eye.

Melbourne Aquarium = fun!! This first photo was taken with my I-Phone believe it or not. Not bad huh!

Whilst at the penguin exhibit, Timmy showed a penguin his sticker that all the kids get on entry to the aquarium, a little round sticker with a picture of a penguin on it -  you can see it in this next collage. The penguin seemed fascinated by this sticker being held up against the window, and followed it around wherever Tim moved it. Well the kids thought this was just hilarious. “Look! We’re controlling it! It’s just like a computer game!” at the top of their voices. LOL. Everyone nearby thought it was pretty funny. :-) After a while it dawned on me that it probably wasn’t very funny for the penguin though as it continued to bash its beak against the glass in an attempt to get at the sticker, so we moved on. aquarium-collage
